What is the proper procedure to utilize the updates in the LDR branch folder? Do you simply integrate them first, then the regular updates next?

I integrate the LDR folder first, but, it does not matter.

So before or after, no matter? Can they be integrated at the same time? I still use a utility posted on wincert called "update" by George King that runs a nice scripted update routine; mounts, integrates, dismounts, burns iso - all in one click. Will conintuing to use that screw up the integration when using the LDR placeholders?

What you mean at same time? If you mean without commiting image in between then yes... about that tool i have no idea how that tool works, but there shouldnt be any reason that it wouldnt keep working...

Here's something a little um, interesting about KB2547257 (only the x64 version):

    GDR:
    Cdd.dll 6.1.7601.17554
    Dxgkrnl.sys 6.1.7601.17554
    Dxgmms1.sys6.1.7601.17610

    LDR:
    Cdd.dll 6.1.7601.17514
    Dxgkrnl.sys 6.1.7601.21720
    Dxgmms1.sys6.1.7601.21720

Notice how the GDR version actually installs an updated cdd.dll whereas the LDR version doesn't?

This is also how it is on the drive. Doesn't quite make sense!

...burnt out, sick, summer job, graduated and fulltime employment, vacation, or just simply does not want to do the update thing anymore. All good things come to an end sooner or later. Hope he's alright.
