Help me understand a few things guys:

I have the en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd_u_677460 image (pub 12/5/2011) in which I want to include the post-sp1 updates, in order to make an up-to-date image. This work by SoLoR really saves me from hours of work with those updates, but I am a bit confused as to what I need to include in the sp1 image. I will be using rt7lite to integrate those post-sp1 hotfixes.

I just downloaded the x32 version of the 7z and it has several folders in which the hotfixes are categorised and 155 updates that are in the root of the archive.

My first question is which hotfixes am I supposed to include in the integration - is it just the 155 from the root? What about the ones in the IIS, LDR and MSQM folders? What about the CABs in the 2nd folder? The last folder (not integratable..) I take it cannot be integrated into the sp1, right?

My second question is why the following post-SP1 updates are not included? Are these superceeded or something?
    Windows6.1-KB2506223-x86.msu
    Windows6.1-KB2509553-x86.msu
    Windows6.1-KB917607-x86.msu
    Windows6.1-KB947821-v12-x86.msu
    Windows6.1-KB2487335-x86.msu
    Windows6.1-KB2502285-x86.msu

My third question is really a remark - Windows6.1-KB2511500-x86.msu can be found in the root of the 7z, but online is under the LDR folder. Was that a mistake?

Thank you for the hard work and plz keep it going!

Afaik you only need the 155 from the root if you're an average user who does not use IIS and stuff like that.

The archives aren't updated on each new batch of updates. Check the updates.htm file, and work through the changes since the last archive date. The latest change was 29 May which had the following changes:
    Code:
    Updated: 29.5.2011
    - Added: KB2528357-v2, KB2531385
    - Removed: KB2505146-v2
    - Moved to LDR placeholders: KB2511500
So KB2511500 is correct for being in the LDR placeholder folder.

For the other updates in your posted list, check the additions folder (not all of them are in there). The combination of the updates folder, (if applicable IIS, MSMQ, & NFS), and additions folder are all the updates that are not superseded and valid for an up-to-date Windows installation.

Last Sunday's updates weren't posted as SoLoR said earlier, and he is getting back from holidays. He may put them up when he gets back, or he may wait till after patch Tuesday (14 June) since there will be more updates then. The archives may be updates after patch Tuesday, especially if there are several changes from the 24 May pack.

Download the 5-24-2011 archive and make these changes since its creation and burfadel is right, you may want to wait a couple days, more updates are coming

    Code:
    Updated: 29.5.2011

    - Added: KB2528357-v2, KB2531385

    - Removed: KB2505146-v2

    - Moved to LDR placeholders: KB2511500
BTW there is no harm in integrating them ALL and have a look in the Additions directory, you may find a couple more in there

SoLoR has updated them, thanks for that! :)

New list as of 12 June. I also just uploaded the superseded update uninstaller for this round of updates.

I read somewhere that unless there is an unusual circumstance, M$ tends to alternate a month with huge number of Windows Updates on Patch Tuesday, with another month with lesser number of patches. Since there is a lot of updates for this Patch Tuesday, we would see quite fewer updates on next month Patch Tuesday.

Thanks for the replies, I was just wondering because I wanted to do a new build and after SoLoR's updates of June 12 I thought those may be all for now. But if there are more coming I will wait until they become available and then make the new build.

Thanks for letting me know. I think I ll wait 1-2 days so maybe I can grab a newer archive - if it comes up by then.

Of course I m interested in some of the updates in the Additions folder. But this is another query for me - can rt7lite integrate all these different types of files into the W7 SP1 image that I got? I mean I know it does .msu but the majority of stuff in the Additions folder come as exe, msp, cab etc. Does rt7lite support these formats?

    No.RT7L only supports .msu
For other things you problably have to use sysprep tho it's a bit complicated suggestion.

Hey burfadel, do I still have to separate kb9x from the kb2xx updates so they install/integrate first or is this working?
