Windows 7 Image Updater - SkyLake\KabyLake\CoffeLake\Ryzen Threadripper

Can I use this program on an AMD Ryzen 3 2200G processor (Raven Ridge) with an ASRock A320M-HDV to install Windows 7 on? Everything I see on line tells me that I can not get Windows 7 on this Raven Ridge apu. I'll be getting this set up to assemble on or around 5/30/18

 

Doesn't have to necessarily be Windows 7, I have Windows 8.1 with legal keys too, Just need an o.s. that I can use gatherosstate.exe from to install 10 with the proper activation. I know 8.1 does have usb 3.0 drivers natively, Just do not know if 8.1 can boot a raven ridge cpu

 

Can that work without a previous o.s. installed on the drive? I was under the assumption that there should be an existing o.s. (7 or 8.1) and then you could use that key to upgrade to 10

With the release of 10586 aka 1511, windows 10 installs accept valid win 7 and 8 keys for activation.

 

Thanks Enth. Last night I downloaded the 1511 version from Hiedoc.net (Windows iso download tool) I'll be sure to use that version

 

Meaning, 10586 and all builds released after 10586 accept the keys.

 

Thanks! I post back when I get it built, so you mean I could use the 2017 fall edition or 1803 and that will work too? I only thought the older versions worked. Great to know I won't need to waste time anymore on updates. Is that true for gatherosstate.exe too?

Can you get Windows 7 to run on a Ryzen 3 2200G cpu? (not that I think I need it now)

As far as I have read so far, Ryzen 3 2200G is a RavenRidge processor. They are completely incompatible with Windows 7 (fail with 0xA5 error, means "ACPI incompatible") with no way around it, currently.
Strangely, I have a Ryzen 7 2700X (Pinnacle Ridge), and that one works with Windows 7. Just not the 2xxx APUs...

 

I can understand RR not having w7 display drivers but not RR apu not working but cpus do is puzzling.
