I meant that it's a bit weird when someone offers a tool that creates the desired iso locally, gets asked to upload the iso it makes
if i remember well, this problem you are facing had already been discussed here, the guy was facing the same problem as yours , after installing win7, all was working well but after a reboot, he noticed that the mouse wasn't working anymore and after integrating usb3 drivers into install.wim file, the problem was solved but it had been done with another tool called simplix pack so it should working for you as well, i hope this will be the case.
One more question... I will use this iso: en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677332.iso should I unclick the "Apply to all editions" to the result smaller? Is there an SHA value that can be checked after complete Image update, with all other choices clicked on? Thanks...
When just one index is updated, the iso could end up larger as when all indices are updated. No, the sha-1 will always be different.
In newer version You will have option to remove unchecked editions from .wim file. Space saving is not huge though. Around 0.5 GiB when using LZMS-solid compression (4 editions fully updated vs 1).
Thanks Atak, so it is only the difference between the different updates? I will see what I decide. Because the first version with everything is exactly 4.06 GB... and so needs a 8 Gb USB drive.. I will be going to Europe in Summer to buy a new computer and want to take the software with me, and i need this to work.... I will take both methods, a DVD and a USB stick. One of them should work Rufus will work on the stick?
This is a really great tool. I need to install more drivers during the creation of the ISO. How can I install the chipset drivers from Lenovo M910T. I have downloaded the drivers. I have run the Lenovo driver download on a different computer. It extracted the drivers to a folder. The files it extracted are not INF files. They are: mup.xml SetupChipset.exe After creating an ISO file with this software Win7 did boot up. Win7 did install. The keyboard and mouse didn't work. I didn't have the chipset drivers installed. It would be nice to incorporate the Chipset drivers into the Windows7.ISO file.
Thanks but It did not work for me. It created new ISO successfully but it got stuck with windows blue logo immediately after starting booting from USB. I used latest rufus with option of "BIOS or UEFI-CSM" and it fails on my threadripper 1950x with gigabyte X399 aorus 7 motherboard. I also tried to install on SATA drive (by disconnecting evo 960) but same issue.
is your bios configured in UEFI or Legacy/bios ? if it's in UEFI, use rufus and choose "GPT for UEFI" and you will have to choose FAT32. if your bios is configured in Legacy/bios, use rufus and choose "BIOS or UEFI-CSM" and choose NTFS. one more thing, make sure that "secure boot" option is disabled in the bios.
Code: File: Windows_7_Image_Updater.7z CRC-32: 0e4ebca4 MD5: 5b6bb45c43be403f5eae3488dd12426f SHA-1: 2767a693739107d84a0677677b9f3ffc367a9df2 SHA-256: cd95859b4616210a202c3f8d06ed140a1adee4cc2bcc1e90999c31009acf6a3b SHA3-256: 5294c0799aa9ec9ef4271acf5c6b36cc14324436bcaebfbff9b6c32310afad67
i am testing now the new version, will report back but it will take some time before i post my test results as the machine which i use for testing is old.
@Atak_Snajpera : How long does it usually take to get the new iso created (with all updates and drivers) using the last version of your tool with only one edition ?
