my HP 800 mini G3, shipped with Windows 10. It's Intel skylake CPU (i5-6500T processor 6th generation/Intel HD Graphics 530. I was trying to install Windows 7 x64 but got black screen. while mouse just worked fine. hinted USB3 port ok. how can I fix the video/black screen issue. I added HD Graphics 530 driver into the install media. but still no luck. any way to add graphics driver properly? Thanks, btw, I was trying CSM mode. i.e. MBR disk. (GPT disk looked ok to install in my test)
Anyone know what modern mobos will accept this fix? I have W7 running on a Coffee Lake system (Asus B360M-C) and I may want to update soon. However, I am completely out of touch with modern mobos and what they can or cannot do. Thus far, I have been running XP, W7, and W10 on this mobo but I guess I'll have to forget about XP if I I upgrade further. I used XP mainly for playing older games for which it is well-suited. However, I'd like to retain W7, just for the heck of it.

11th gen and z590 msi boards are a great windows 11/7 combo pc you can build around. I just did it myself, works flawlessly.
How did you do it? I have z590 and 11900k to have Windows 7 and may migrate my 4790k system so can you describe the process so far I try to do it but got error that my PC is not fully ACPI and blue screen. So share the knowledge, please. How did you make it work on Rocket Lake? And Z590?
Do you have a msi motherboard? did you enable CSM? (non MSI boards could have an issue) I literally did nothing crazy other than make sure CSM is enabled on it and used the integrate7 script to make an iso. works flawlessly. I have a MPG Z590 Gaming Force motherboard if that helps. I dual boot 11 and 7 on this pc too on a nvme drive. For ethernet I use a realtek PCI-E 2.5GB adapter and it works amazingly on 7.
