No unfortunately not, I'm just lurking around over there.
It's a great forum though no question about it, great posts about everything.
I usually hang around here for most part.

 

A couple of Win 7 pre-installation questions.

1) In the MDL website to download the 3 files prior to installation, it is not clear whether this is an upgrade or a full installation kit.

2) If it is a full installation kit, does anyone know whether Microsoft licensing checks whether the activation key is valid for an upgrade or a brand new (full) installation? In my case, I bought an upgrade key and but would like to install Win 7 in a completely new partition if possible as my XP system is running nicely without problems.

So if I install Windows 7 on my friend's computer and they are currently running Vista, I can select to upgrade and they'll be able to keep all of their stuff?

 

Upgrades usually do that
