In the \sources\ folder of the ISO delete ei.cfg, then it will offer the choice for all versions during install.
That is correct, but it doesn't explain how a Pro ISO installs Basic without modding/deleting the ei.cfg Code: X17-59186.iso en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676939.iso ed15956fe33c13642a6d2cb2c7aa9749 0bcfc54019ea175b1ee51f6d2b207a3d14dd2b58
Had this error too but after second try it worked fine. I am only using it because it offers full USB3+other driver package. More odd, I've tried to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional using MSI OEM SLP key and it didn't work. Then I tried othr manufacturer key and it worked fine. So check those keys, some are flawed.
@hemlatuyda If you use the OEM:SLP key from the sticky, then they are well tested. It would be better if you can provide an error log.
dear all, i bought lenovo ideapad 700-15ISK with windows 10 pre-installed. I'm not really into windows 10 because some of limitation i had in running of software. read about biosmod, seem like it having locked bios and it refrain me to do activation with loader/kms. prefer with gpt partition. what option do i left to enable windows 7 running on this machine?
There are present ISO with and without SP1 I have just checked hash from "Windows and Office Genuine ISO Verifier" for "en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676939.iso"
Hello, I'm having an issue where after I use the download tool, it says it wasn't able to make the USB drive a bootable device. Then when i try to install windows 7, it says there are files missing. Please help.
Hello, I am currently preparing the USB from the ISO image (Step 4). However, I am unable to select my Seagate 1TB external hard drive from the drop down menu within the download tool. The message 'No compatible USB devices detected' is displayed. I was wondering if there is a way to solve this issue?
Step 5 is the clue USB Flash/Pen drive. A USB HDD is not compatible. A 4gb or 8gb USB flash stick is preferable as anything over 16gb can cause a few problems with booting or corrupted data, not sure why maybe the way the memory stick is made.
Actually, I've been using a 32GB stick as a multiboot media and never had problems with it. Made with WinSetupFromUSB. I have a 64GB stick as well, but I never got around to trying it as an installation media, never had the need to, so I can't say anything about 64GB bootable USBs.
