can you elaborate on this? I'm trying to install on a new Lenovo Ideapad 330s w/Core i3-8130U and so far stuck --> https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...win7-distribution.45005/page-130#post-1530467
@bbaker6212 There's no driver support for windows 7. Give up on that idea. Go with 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019.
Well the screen, keyboard, and touchpad all work when Live-USB booting via the USB 3.0 port. And the same WiFi NIC has Win7 driver/support via a Dell Notebook model. So maybe it's possible, just not supported from Lenovo. A headache at least to be sure.
I have one dumb question to ask, and because it is related to w7 installation, I will ask it here. Please be gentle Let's say I create a new w7 image, e.g. by slipstreaming all the updates with simplix or by downsizing it with ntlite. Will that give me a fresh install.wim that can replace the existing one inside the iso and still be compatible with the rest of the files in there? I have a set of isos stored on my samba server and when I make a fresh installation, I "write" the one I need to a usb stick with rufus. If the above statement is correct, can I use the fresh install.wim just by writing that on the usb stick and removing the old one?
