The patch for X32 does not give correct result = SHA1: 65FCE0F445D9BF7E78E43F17E441E08C63722657. Source file used was original Win 7 Ultimate x32 iso with SP1 MSDN. EDIT: See post #188
The patch is working fine no problems here. Code: Filename : en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd_u_677460.iso MD5 : 2572274e6b0acf4ed1b502b175f2c2db SHA1 : 65fce0f445d9bf7e78e43f17e441e08c63722657 CRC32 : 35511f11 File Size : 2,564,476,928 ==================================================
The patch file for x32 got corrupt, did a new download, now gives correct result. x64 xdelta vcg: SHA-1: d931e956474e2fd14bbb9238f6cc440b0c4cb320 x32 xdelta vcg: SHA-1: 52b656f00d1ee52a4c46035087bfa5df7abc7627
I downloaded these but was not able to get them to work until I renamed them to .delta files: Code: GSP1RMCULFRER_EN_DVD-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.vcd GSP1RMCULXFRER_EN_DVD-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.vcd Code: GSP1RMCULFRER_EN_DVD-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.delta GSP1RMCULXFRER_EN_DVD-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.delta Only then I was able to use them: Code: Ultimate X64 xdelta3.0z.x86-64.exe -d -s 7601.17514.101119-1850_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.iso GSP1RMCULXFRER_EN_DVD-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.delta 7601.17514.101119-1850_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD_U.iso Ultimate X86 xdelta3.0z.x86-64.exe -d -s 7601.17514.101119-1850_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.iso GSP1RMCULFRER_EN_DVD-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.delta 7601.17514.101119-1850_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD_U.iso This worked fine and the checksums were OK. So, what's the story with the .vcd file extension? What I am missing here?
A thank you to the uploader? Sorry about that guys, the delta files are very useful, so of course thank you. I just wondered why some of the files have the .delta extension, and others have the .vcd extension. Are they created with different tools? They seem to be interchangeable, so no problem. Thanks again.
Okay, I normally refrain from asking stupid questions, but was wondering if I apply a delta patch to the en ultimate x86 iso and remove ei.cfg, will the patch also affect the other versions of windows in the iso? I know, no stupid questions, only stupid people, but I had to ask.
Hey, bit. Anychance you can make patches to media refresh for portuguese-portugal? Do you need the string id? Thanks
If you could upload SP1→SP1u deltas somewhere that would be most helpful (since I should still have the Ultimate SP1 images of PP/PT and PT/BR on a disk somewhere).
