Here is my ACPI table attached: I tried all three methods on windows 7 loader because I don't have a SLIC tab in RW-everything. View attachment AcpiTbls.rar
What's the brand and model of the system or if it's custom built then what motherboard is it using? A quick glance at the report would have me thinking it's a pretty old system with a poor BIOS.
Custom built system I custom built this computer off Newegg about a month ago. Are you running BIOS version 1.7 and do you have 'Instant Boot' installed or software that creates drive backup/recovery images? Instant boot I'm guessing would interfere with the loader so shouldn't be used and software that creates backup images but add their own boot manager are also another problem.
I am using BIOS v 1.7 but I did not install Instant Boot or any of the others except for Intelligent Energy Saver. I also use Revo Uninstaller and every time I remove a program with it, it says that it creates a backup image. I'll uninstall both and give the loader a try again. Thank you, -David
Revo shouldn't really matter as I meant something more along the lines of Acronis. I will see what BobSheep has to say but until then it'd be great if you could uninstall the loader with it's legacy setting selected and then post an MGADiag report (see signature).
Daz, I was using the windows loader 1.5 earlier. I just installed and used version 1.9 and it fixed the problem (however I didn't see your last message so I didn't using the legacy mode when I uninstalled). I conducted the MGADiag report but I can't post it because I don't have more than 20 posts yet and there are links in the report. If there is some way to get it to you I'll do that instead. Thank you so much for everything. I really appreciate your time and help! -David
Ah, a very old version. I presumed you was posting because a recent version failed for you. You shouldn't need to change any of the settings or post an MGADiag report if you're now activated
