Yes, indeed! When I encountered the problem, I even tried calling Microsoft technical support service because I didn't know what to do with this I had no ideas and did not suspect COMODO since all the previous updates and service packs had installed successfully into my system (I run Windows 7 since October 22). Then I tried to google and flound some interesting info (prevoiusly I've read error codes in the list of unsuccessful updates). Some third-party firewalls may prevent installation of certain updates
George King, i think you have done a great work providing us these unofficial updates. But after my experience in these past few days, i must say: i dont recomend installing these updates. had to do a format to my machine, because i was getting dll errors everywhere, after i installed these last updates released. and i couldn't even remove them, because it didnt showed a few options in the "programs and features". think the updates are for internal use for micro$oft, so they can test it and find problems/bugs and correct then. regards, infected_
For me and a lot of hunderd people it working great and Windows is very stable and quick That´s my opinion
Then in all honesty you must be doing something wrong, im using unoffical updates (not this pack but "my" pack), since day one, on 3 computers at home, i even intergrated them in to win7 install dvd. And i have _0_ problems with them, on top of that im also using office2010/visual studio 2010 to even more "screw up" librarys and have more "beta" software installed, except few errors in outlook 2010 everything works perfectly. Signin assistant from office2010 even fixed some errors i was having with live toolbar.
Good for you both. I've learned my lesson... Btw, how are you both 100% sure these are the updates being release throughout WU?
they wont be afaik, most of them will be avilable upon request/manual download (because they are there to fix specific issue) or come with SP1. There is already probably like ~20-30 (didnt check for a while) updates for Win7 avilable officaly one way or the other.
my guess, leaked around mid december/christmas. But this is just wild guess, cosidering what timeline MS have.
removed im updating them as im geting them usualy... updates in "CABS" are meant for integration in to install DVD only.. edit: removed link, dont want this to become too public, if someone wants it pm me.
Why dont you use DISM Just curious, how come you guys don't just use the DISM app to slipstream your updates into your image? Works fine here. Is there something different that the updater application does? Thanks, Eneerge
