Very nice George King; thanks very much. The only recurring error I have-if you want to even call this an error-is KB's 977180 and 977206 will not slipstream. ("update not applicable to this image...."). I don't use VM etc., so....
I think I know what the problem is.. I had the same one and it was because the ISO I was using was based on the Digital Rivers download.. make sure your ISO is EXACTLY the same size as one from (for example) MSDN..
Ar you using the 32 bit or the 64 bit for me its 64 bit and i test it on profisional and the ultimate it have the same result and George King could you please give us the exact procedure for intgration maybe we are doing some thing wrong
The Directx Redistributable on mine was picked up by Avast 5 (background scanner) as being Malware, I assumed it might have been a false positive but after these comments I think it might be not quite right! I had already downloaded the Feb Directx redist, I never keep the archive file only the contents (the setup and files are archived in a self extracting archive for simplified download). The original download I had worked perfectly fine on Windows 7 x64, and no positives from Avast.
DirectX are repacked to reduce size on ISO I don´t like original 104MB installer which contain DirectX DLLs for both architecture. I rebuilded installer with Microsoft iexpress beacuse i want to have installer which looks similar like original
I tested integration on Windows 7 Ultimate x86 and x64 I done this if wrote Update Pack Tool: 1. Copy files from MSDN (cs-CZ) ISO to HDD 2. Run Update Pack tool including all Updates - RSAT, XP Mode etc... 3. Waiting 4. Integration was finished with no error I will look into code if i not forget add some IF to disable integration RSAT Updates if you haven´t placed KB958830 in RemoteServerAdministrationTools
No use even after i install KB958830 in RemoteServerAdministrationTools folder give me the same error and after i build the image i cant transfer it to the usb flash drive it give me another error regarding the install wim is to big
That can be true, beause Windows Vista/7 setup allow install.wim in maximum size 4GB - its 4GB WIM size litim. I add into my Windows 7 Update Pack Tool line which make UDF image which support files bigger than 4GB you need to have your FLASH disk foramted into NTFS or exFAT and with updated bootcode which allow extracted UDF image
Geroge, I did not include Windows Live Essentials in Special Updates folder, but when i install Windows 7, the Live Essential Pack are installed? Why?
All ok slipstreamed Update Pack 114 for x64 Windows 7 Ultimate Only one update : Windows6.1-KB977180-v2-x64 is not integrating (not for this image............. error 0x800f081e) Step ... 1>Install vLite 1.1.6 with WIM filter then upgrade to 1.2 2>Using vLite for driver integration , customize unattended setup (incl automatic user creation , time zone setting etc) 3>Applied vLite but do not create ISO 4>Uninstall vLite and reboot PC (very very important) 5>Using DISMTOOL to place some custom registry tweak into the WIM 6>Using GeorgeKing's tools to integrate hotfixes and make ISO OS used for integration and testing : Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on Core 2 Quad with Intel VT on Software used for testing : VMware 7 Result : All OK , except the above mentioned KB Hope this helps others Thanks SBM
Argh, the only thing about live essentials is the web filtering for the kiddies, still pissed that MS pulled it from 7, that was one of the best vista features IMHO.
Nevermind George, my mistake!! I left wlsetup-all.exe in x86 folder when i thought it was deleted! Thanks for all!
@ George King KB958830 in RemoteServerAdministrationTools was deleted from hotfile server. Please re-upload. Thank you.
