Well it did it for a little while, but has finished now. Not sure how long it did it for, but wasn't too long!
it's exactly as you say, i tryied it and it contains a lot of superseeded updates :| it's doesn't worth the risk to install it, using George's Pack is the safest way
Both the x86 and x64 links on Rapidshare and Hotfile aren't valid - says due to alleged copyright infringement / violation of terms of use.....
I posted the updates here: x86 - x64 - but take in mind that I removed DirectX from the pack because some of security suites detected it as a virus, and I removed KB971033 too because it will mess up your activation methods such as cracks and loaders, etc.
Yes, I know, I trust GK, but still not everyone needs DirectX all the time hehe, and it was a bit big so I removed it, still my antivirus didn't let me upload the .rar because detected false positive in DX. Ah and you're welcome
Thanks for the packages but... For those who would like to download Windows 7 patches and add ons directly from Microsoft servers without using Windows Update give Autopatcher a try. There are now modules for both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7. All files are checksum verified and, of course, the resulting APUP folder is portable. There is an Autopatcher thread in applications.
Have not tried autopatcher or all the other patches so far. Somehow the autopatches do not work with my system/level of competence. Have the updates on my hard disk. As of now, win 7 updates are manageable in size and perhaps less than 100 MB (excluding language updates) and even a fresh download and install takes less than 1 hr. Perhaps later when they get bigger (like for XP).
The Autopatcher thread I started in the Applications section here explains in detail how to use Autopatcher. Users can choose to download modules to auto-update Windows 2000, Windows XP X86, Vista X86, Windows 7 X84 X64, Office 2003, Office 2007, DirectX, .Net Framework, Java, Extras and Addons. APUP.exe (Autopatcher Updater) fetches and accumulates the releases in the APUP folder. When Autopatcher.exe is run the files which are compatible with the host computer are automatically presented for selection. A person who supports many computers only needs one APUP folder even if the computers run different versions of Windows and Office. Autopatcher auto-installs all files chosen by the user with a reboot required only at the end of the process. The product is very slick!
Ill make a pack on 2nd/3rd if george will be still MIA, dont expect some fancy installer or anything tho It will be pack wthout superseeded updates that im using on my computers.... and there will be 0 support for it
