    George King,
    why size Windows6.1-KB974431-x86.msu from 1.0.8B don't match size from 1.0.9 ?
    (16 687 088 and 16 685 427 respectively)

    When can we see these updates on Windows Update and w/c update is responsible for changing the boot loading logo ?

    Such changes normally come only with service packs (for the general audience).

    That last one doesn't install any files relating to the operating of the computer. You can run it a thousand times whenever you like, its not actually a hotfix at all! Microsoft has just called it as such, in reality it is a fix for some flaws in the winsxs that probably don't affect most people. That said, its still better to run it and be safe than to not and run in to problems later.

    zukona is kinda MIA, he didnt even say anything about new update pack now that win7 went GA. Also afaik they have some holidays in russia this days, so this might be the case as well.
