Just remember the buildlab and buildlabex strings represent the kernel build number, not the Windows build number Think of two identical computers. On one computer, you install the update which updates the kernel but nothing else. On the other computer you install every single update available, but not the kernel updates. The second computer is more updates but still has the original RTM string! The Windows build number, and the update build numbers (including the kernel builds) are two separate things!
Now I think it's best to let SoLoR wade through these new updates to see what can be removed from the update list and what can be added. I would have had 350+ updates by now if it weren't for him being able to see what has been superseded and become obsolete, plus what breaks what

What i find it funny kinda this month there wasnt many updates (and there was about 1/3 of them released officaly before), there is lots of "updates for updates" kinda thing. I think they are wraping up slowly what will be included in SP1.
One of the updates MIGHT break Office KMS activation, but im not sure yet. But fact is, i did clean format today and then suddenly cant activate Office 2010 with KMS method. And considering i activated about 5 times at least succefuly before, im sure im not doing anything wrong. What i currently know is, I tryed to run KMS activator on 2 different maschines (XP and Win7 with offical updates) in my network (+1 VM with "clean" Win7) and ofc my own computer and result is the same, on computer i just did fresh install with all updates I cant activate Office, so i assume KMS generator works fine, but something broke in the office activation. Maybe its just some "odd" coincidence, ill try to reinstall office tomorrow, but just watch out on this.
i have installed the updates after that installed office2010 and used mini-kms1.2 no problems with activating office
Ye if you install updates after you should be fine for 6 months problem is if you integrate them in to DVD like i do... oh well ill try to figure this out tomorrow...
i tied to activate with mini-kms after and before installing the updates. both are activated. whats then the difference after integrate the updates or install the updates on a clean install?
Hm activating AFTER worked? x86 or x64? hm... there is not difference (or well shouldnt be) between integrating them in to install dvd or installing them after you preform clean install from original DVD, except few hundred MB of cached files inside SoftwareDistribution\Download
Now are you talking about Office 2010 or Windows? Of course you already know that KMS has to be installed before Office for it to work, right?
i'm using ultimate x64. made yesterday an clean install, then install the updates for win7. some time after installing the updates i install office 2010. use mini-kms1.2. and office is still activated now i write this. don't know why it worked for me and some others here not???
might be just some odd conicidence. Im tempted to install on other parition and try it again but oh well... its 30 day! and i can rearm after and then ill reinstall again anyway or maybe even sooner if ill use SP1.
