Hi All, Bought new laptop in Nov 2010 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. All Windows updates have been installed and I am currently up to date,however I have never been notified of SP1 Ran windows update trouble shooter. all o.k. scanned for viruses,clean All drivers are up to date ran sfc /SCANNOW no problems made sure MS updates needed for the download of sp1 were installed Manually downloaded SP1 from Microsoft website Disabled A/V and Firewall Ran SP1 installer and at the finish I get the below error. Tried installing in safe mode at the same error occurs Any suggestions
Ran the "System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7". Re-booted and ran windows updates and still shows no updates available. So I installed SP1 I downloaded from MS website and.........no luck..... still get the same error as seen in my screenshot above. I running out of ideas: Any other suggestions ? Nobody anywhere knows a solution?????
