why all the fuss with the SP1 RC? First, it will deactivate every Windows 7 that's not activated using, DAZ Loader or OEM Activation (slic 2.1) Second, you can download it from MS Downlaods or USingup and then download it via Windows Updates, (more Slim download about 38.7MB to 300MB) it depends of the updates you have already installed. Third, In desktop will always show Evaluation Copy since its not release yet as final..... See ya, and stop the fuss and Panic....
And why not. It´s fun Don´t know, dont care.I never use any activation hacks.Honestly i could not care less. I prefer full package anyday over partial. And what about clean install.Like im going to sign up in WU and download the whole RC trough WU.yeah right.I use preintegrated RC. And?So?.Who cares.Honestly there will be very few people running this copy in 1st September 2011 so any expiration date is pretty unimportant.
7601.17508.101104-1835 - Latest Windows 7 SP1 build in "win7sp1_rtm" - branch Thanks to Zuko for news !!!
Do you know if all the files are included now? I mean especially a newer version of compcln.exe (could have an other name now) like there was in vista sp2 to remove the backed up files after install. This wasn't included in the rc, but it would be very usefull for slipstreaming sp1, as it saves about 1.2GB.
You can use dism to remove the backed up files from the new image, there is no small tool to help you remove those rtm files like there was for Vista.
Well by the looks of the ISO image with SP1 RC integrated has the temp files removed.I have it installed and works just fine.I plan on making a new clean install anyway when SP1 RTM hits so it´s not a problem.
