In best case scenario some early alpha of win8 will be shown on CES, it might be that build will actualy leak to internet, like Win7 M1 build 6519 did, but if you remember how that win7 looked like back then, it is useless to be excited about. DONT get all exceited over Win8 until beta stage.
i know your position...i agree with your decision but i'm gonna miss your exciting information leaks which keep every member of MDL excited about the latest happenings...i request you to continue it..ultimately it's ur choice considering MDL members wish..happy Christmas and happy new year...
Am I the only one who finds this whole fiasco laughably entertaining? Someone posts a build string and everyone runs around like crazy people looking for their next crack fix
Which is none of you business, right?! Don't judge people because of this. It's just a hobby. Who cares?
I do... even tho i was one of this guys ~2 years ago in Win7 beta phase... but sooner or later you realise its not worth the hassle... if something leaks it leaks, if something doesnt then it doesnt... however i personaly would be much more interested in SP1 RTM then this Win8 "alpha" builds, because SP1 can be actualy used on day to day basis and Win8 alphas will be exactly that... alphas, install in VM, use for 10 min and then whine when next one will come that will be more stable or will have new ui changes...
That's perfectly true, I messed up over a year of my life testing Windows 7 Builds (reinstalling the windows on my PC, not un VMware) , starting with 6801 and ending with 7601. I'll make sure to make a new partition for Windows 8, don't want to waste my software everytime a new build comes out
Why all this arguing about a service pack? People (including me) are excited about sp1, although it doesn't bring much new things, just because it's a sp. And does the fact that it was xmasday yesterday make it forbidden to be excited? Let those who want to speculate about it speculate, and if you don't like it just don't read, or argue. And canouna, you're not a liar. I think everyone here knows that the buildstrings weren't 100% sure the rtm build, and you (or anybody else) didn't ever said it was going to be leaked for sure. I also think nobody tried to blame you (at least I hope), we were just constatating that it didn't leak before xmas afterall. But that's not a disaster, how could the not leaking of a servicepack before the actual release date ever be a disaster?
Everyone knows when it will be officially out so that's OLD news... trust me, it will leak way sooner than March! I'm 100% definitely sure!
My system is running fine on 17125 build ! So i don't think the sp1 rtm would be a big diffrence ! It's very boring about sp1 !!! I have better jobs than these things
