I have just put "service pack 1" on my windows 7 disc using RT 7 Lite. Everything went well and I installed it on my computer, but now there are no new updates via windows update, why?
I guess because SP1 gives the newest updates that available to date. Also, given the fact that this is a leaked version it won't receive any support until the official version from MS is released.
UPDATE: Hold off on downloading the leak; reports are surfacing that the Russians have NOT leaked the proper RTM build.
you do not need to be rude. But thank to the rest guys, for the info Edit:by the way, if I would like to do a fresh installation of windows (without integrated SP1) should I install all the updates in windows update fist, and then install SP1?
Hello i tried to integrate the SP1 into the Win7 .iso with RT 7 Lite but after proceduring, the setup.exe in root directory still has the RTM build string. it doesnt work. how can i slipstream the SP properly? thanks
My information suggests neowin is either talking out the ass, or is talking to spokesperson that missed the memo. Also, Rafael is a known Class-1 (the worst kind) dumbass. he was wrong about the Win 7 iso leaks too.
Just because Microsoft hasn't "released the RTM to OEM partners" does NOT mean that they don't have an RTM, it just means they haven't released it to OEM partners, which they could do tomorrow (or whenever). Today's leak was the RTM and anyone saying otherwise (Rafael, neowin, etc) are either taking Microsoft's statement and running with it, or are just uninformed.
Installing now. 30 minutes into the installation. Thank you to the OP and the other informative members in this thread.
I am getting "ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_NOT_FOUND" error when installing SP1 on x86 Ultimate. What could be the problem?
