Do you have all previous updates installed? I read some where in trying to diagnose why I am having issues installing SP1 that you need to have all previous updates installed.
Yes it is all updated. I did have Kaspersky installed and you can't disable it from start up because I read some where to disable your antivirus. So I uninstalled it and disabled all startup items and third party services. So I am going to give this a go and I'll report back if this works or not.
I wouldn't expect him to do so any time soon. You MIGHT see something when they get close to M3, but I would be genuinely surprised if we see a leak before then.
Yeah but it slipstreams it only for one edition and it takes about 20 minutes. Is there any quick way to slipstream SP1 to all editions of Windows 7 in 20 minutes?
According to Paul Thurrott, this is not the final build of SP1. The article can be found on Winsupersite. (I can't post links yet) The article is titled "Sneak Peek: A Quick Look at Windows 7 Service Pack 1" From the article: No idea who Paul Thurrott is, but can anyone confirm or deny this?
Look again, there's a huge narrative there now. Only problem: Google's translation is HORRIBLE, as usual. With all the king's horses, that's really the best that they can do?
First I couldn't get the RC Beta to uninstall so I went back to an image from Oct. Tried to install SP1 and get error# 0x80070490. WTF?? I also can't get KB 976902. It doesn't show in WU and the direct download only gives me a .CAB file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yea I downloaded from the link from the first page of this thread. Oh and from what I understand Microsoft wants to release sp1 around the same time as IE9 RTM is that what wzor was meaning?
