My Russian is not the greatest but here is what I understand: WZT's statement about NNM is not relevant. So then relax, while there are political problems till I don't solve them, the start of distribution is not possible. Hope that makes sense to someone. By all means if anyone can translate better, be my guest.
I sure hope not this is true, in that case I just downloaded a pre-release 976902 update in MSU format from the Windows Update Catalog site two days ago and burned it together with SP1 RTM. They don't provide pre-releases from that catalog right???? EDIT: Maybe I jumped to conclusion here, a closer inspection shows build date 2010/11/22 Then that means I must have the same MSU, it seems they just switched the CAB for the MSU one.
Yep seems like a format switch.Simply packed the .cab inside .msu to make it more easily deployable for most people. As for SP1 RTM there should be no need to include it in there, since it should already have the .cab version integrated by MS.
I think he means, that it's too HOT right now and things got to cool off a bit before a new leak could happen. That's my understanding about that sentence.
The first time I tried to install SP1 x64 I got an error message, stating Data Invalid and that was immidiately after klicking the executable. I verified that the file wasn't corrupt by checking the SHA1 and MD5 values. It might be because I usually shut down all unneccesary services which might have caused the trouble, you know Windows Update etc. But I didn't try to turn it on again so instead I read on a Swedish forum that you could need the KB976902 update for installing service packs. I re-installed Windows, then applied this and it worked, that's the reason it stayed. It's all for psychological reasons, I feel better having it knowing it work rather then don't.
i would like to know as i am an English user so if i slipstream wave0 as it has less language packs would it be beneficial in keeping the install.wim size??? is it different from wave1??
I slipstreamed wave-1 and the integrated iso still fits nicely on a single layer dvd. Also, if you use Stannieman's guide to slipstream, theres an option to export the final install.wim (as well as boot.wim) that reduces its size.
Thats what i am thinking....is there any difference in wave0 and wave 1 other than extra language packs in wave1
