While we're all waiting for Wzor to leak the W7SP1 isos tonight, I have a question for all of you guys. It's just that I can't remember now which version of W7 Ultimate I installed on my home rig with modded BIOS... Was it "retail" or "volume licence"? I'm @work and I can't check the hashes. So, when the isos leak tonight, which version should I download? Thanx!

If you have ultimate, it is retail/oem. As far as i know, volume is reserved for HCP, Server, and win7 enterprise and professional, and a couple others

Yes, if they need to wait a bit to protect their source, that is a valid reason to hold off and we will all need more patience.

    So I'm trying to find
Windows 7 Professional with integrated SP1 RTM 64bit English Retail

Which one from the list would that be? I didn't really want to install ultimate but I don't see any Win 7 Professional on there?

This is done by removing or renaming a file called "ei.cfg" in the "sources" folder.

This way, you can use the Ultimate DVD to install Ultimate, Professional or Home Premium. There will be a menu for you to chose when installing.

And you can do that using the "eicfg_removal_utility" at code.kliu.org/misc/win7utils

I always rename the file manually, but yes, there's even a tool to do the trick.

This IS the final release dude! To see what type of win7 you have installed, just go to the control panel, click on System, then scroll down to see your product id. If it says OEM in that string, its OEM. BTW, the SP1 is the same doesnt matter what type of license you have.

    Are these Original MS ISO?
If yes, which flavor do you guys suggest for installing on a customized hardware configuration (not a brand system)?
    Retail or OEM ISO?

    Thanks in advance
