--dang, sorry, posted multiple - but can't delete the previous one-- yngdiego brought up a question on how to remove SP1 leftovers from his Win7 x64 iso that he ran through RT7Lite. He said he had 500mb of leftovers still but didn't know how to get rid of those. Last night I made a x64 build based on the Win7 x64 sp1 iso from the first thread, which I also ran through RT7Lite. I noticed that the Setup.exe file inside the build now had the 17514 build number (which I thought was a good indicator of this really being the MS rtm iso), but then I also noticed that I had about a 500mb bigger size than a previous lite build, and from what yngdiego says that is due to leftover sp1 files. Now this may be n00b question, but I have to make sure I'm clear on this: If this is truly the MS Win7 SP1 iso release, there wouldn't be any SP1 leftovers, now would there? Or would there? If not, then surely those iso's are not MS Win7 SP1 iso's. Correct me if I'm wrong (really, please do, I like to be wrong on this one!). I thought SP1 leftovers would only be there on a build someone integrates himself, not an a MS image because surely they wouldn't be 'applying' SP1 to their rtm iso, they would build it ground up right? Just to be clear, I'm not sure if there are any SP1 leftovers in my build, but since diego brought it up as being 500mb bigger due to this, and noticing how my lite build was about that much bigger than a previous one that was based on x64rtm, I'm assuming that is what's causing this. Does anyone know the answer to this?
tcntad please In lp.cab \ SP1 \ Sources \ license I found this License in the versions of windows where it says the service pack first Just where and how to copy or license now. mount a mention. We can write a command or the like. Please.
integrate lp_sv-se.cab, winpe-setup_sv-se.cab and winpe-setup-client_sv-se.cab into index 2 of boot.wim and it will work... extracting lp.cab and placing files into \sources is too much trouble and is meant to work for the upgrade installer anyway lp_sv-se.cab must be integrated to both index 1 and 2 of boot.wim lp_sv-se.cab is NOT the same as lp.cab btw
Hi ! I´m trying to build a multilingual Win 7 SP 1 CD. The one thing missing is the file "lp.cab" which can be usual found on the WAIK-CD at WinPE_LangPacks\x86\de-de . Now the problem is that the file on the RTM-WAIK-CD can not be used with Win SP1, and the supplement ISO for "WAIK Supplement for Win 7 SP1" is not containing this file. Can anybody please give me a hint where to find the file ? THX TEN
If the x64 cabs are a low priority, would you be able to upload Brazilian Portugese x64 whenever possible? Many thanks for your assistance - you'll be saving me a few gigs of unnecessary downloading on a slow connection .
Thats swedish and not slovenian the files are in winpe_fps folder.. Atleast that worked for me when i integrated to boot.wim. I didnt try it, but i will soon. Maybe tomorrow.
1) click start 2) type in "cmd" in the search box, wait a few seconds for it to show up 3) right click on "cmd" in results list, click "run as administrator" 4) type in Code: DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:D:\langpacks\<language>\lp.cab where D: is your DVD drive, and <language> is your language code
I've done this, but the language contained in standard English, I wanted to remove the English and leave only Portuguese, is it possible? how?
Dism and removepackage i think would work. Its not that hard to integrate a language pack, just takes some time. Around 12-15 minutes left on the upload.
Waiting for the Portuguese Brazilian Language Pack. Can somebody upload it and show how to integrate the language pack and remove the original english into windows 7 sp1 ?
OK, language packs are fine and all that, but has anyone looked into my query about this being really RTM or not -- as it leaves me with a 400 to 500mb larger iso after making it lite with Rt7Lite, which could be an indicator this iso's are integrated by someone other than MS, as they would still contain SP1 integration leftovers that don't get removed... Any ideas anyone?
OK, thanks.. I just checked but I don't think I see SP1 leftovers after all... yngdiego I mentioned earlier was talking about slipstreaming an image, not using the full iso like I did, so apologies for clouding the issue there. As for RT7Lite, I've been very careful what items to remove and not remove, but for some reason even though I keep NET Framework, when I install from the lite image Net Framework is not installed (but it can be easily activated by going to Programs and Features in CPL and installing it from the Windows Components list -- so it isn't actually 'removed', but I'd like it not to mess with that at all and just have it installed with OS install). So yes it looks like it needs some updating here and there then. Looks like with a good script vLite may be able to do a more thorough job than Rt7Lite at the moment.
