It would be nice to see if even N versions has old DISM and Dismhost.exe (6.1.7600.16385) or the updates ones (6.1.7601.17514). We will know this after downloading that ISO.
I have had the SP1 installed since it first came out and I only got the following 7 updates today? Update for Windows 7 (KB2502285) Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2393802) Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2485376) Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2425227) Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 Beta for Windows 7 (KB2482017) Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2479628) Definition Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB982726), 32-Bit Edition One of them KB 2502285 refers to an issue that happens with a system that already has SP1 installed or am I reading the information incorrectly.
all of them are posted.... just pick what you want but IMO, why even bother with N editions? much less support all around
Well, now that every possible permutation of Windows 7 SP1 RTM has been posted by Wzor, I think its safe to bet this is truly the final version. I was wondering at first why the other versions like professional retail, home etc weren't posted even though they are almost identical. But that's a lot of gigs worth of windows 7 permutations to leak and not be the true final RTM! Maybe next Tuesday the final md5 will be on msdn for any last lingering doubts.
because most people don't care about the "lesser" versions of windows, so it's a waste of time for them to download and/or seed them when demand for ultimate or enterprise was high... seeders were necessary for ultimate/enterprise... spreading seeders across all the different torrents would just hurt the speed quality of everything
After reading the thread, I broke down and installed SP1 on my win 7 ultimate x64 windows and it installed flawlessly with no issues at all. Only real issue I could find was after turning Norton IS 2011 back on(turned it off for the sp1 install) after sp1 installed and did a reboot, it took Norton a long time to load up and it seemed like it slowed the computer down. It did load up finally and after restarting again, it worked fine and the computer had no lag.
