Microsoft can't wait to kill off 7, But I still see some die-hards still using XP. One has to question how many die-hards will keep 7 after 1/13/2020?

Honestly I'd replace Windows 7 with 10 if there was a daz loader equal for it but currently the methods for cracking it are unholy.

Personally, I still have serious doubts about ever using 10, come 2020 I may think about going with a *nix distro

@Joe C: Count me in on being one of those Windows 7 die-hards. I'm not planning on buying any more hardware between then and now.

    2020 eh?

when was xp support dropped? people are still using it.

so back to 2020, depending on hardware 7 will run on, its got 3 to 5 years(possibly) of life left.

stop worrying, chew that food when you have to.

    you drop down dead tomorrow.

I triple boot Win 7, Win 8.1 and Win 10. I am between a rock and a hard place. My PC Desktop runs Win 7 and Win 8.1 no problem but my PC can not run any Win 10 Insider build starting with 14986 and newer. To continue with the Win 10 Insider Program I need to upgrade my Hardware to meet min. Win 10 Hardware Specs

A MS post in Germany states that corporate customers who don’t make the transition within the next three years before support ends, face enormous dangers. There are also warnings over Windows 7’s “higher operating costs" resulting from security issues that Windows 10 could deal with, as well as its reliability and compatibility problems.

The Redmond firm may want to push everyone onto Windows 10, but Windows 7 remains the world’s most popular desktop/laptop operating system, holding a 48.34 percent share of the market. It’s especially popular withing the enterprise sector, which could be why the post specifically targets businesses.

Windows 10 was released on July 29, 2015. Six months later, it moved ahead of Windows XP and Windows 8.1 to become the second most-used OS. It now has a 24.36 percent market share, which is almost half of what Windows 7 boasts.
