I found this for you : image 671 in aero.msstyles 972 and 973 needs to be changed also, cause in some apps, when inactive, the menu shows some areas unchanged. These two images cover those area's
973 will show up in some apps when active. It is just a part of the menubar, active buttons to be exact (and only in some apps), so easily looked over. Like this :
@gen555: firefox glass works perfectly but I've a problem with AeroX. I've patched themeservice.dll, themeui.dll & uxtheme.dll using UniversalThemePatcher-x64. As soon as I apply AeroX the style switches to Aero Basic?
Added some things to the first post : * a regtweak to add the option "take ownership" to the rightclick shell menu (top of the post, between the "few things you need...") * a note in mod #6 regarding the image for the details pane background * in mod #11 : the locations of the logon screen background image in imageres.dll * another method (changing the actual images) for the folderband background in mod #20 * added mod #22 : changing the explorer (and other apps) menubar. (thanx to jbysmith for his contribution to this )
Hi gen, are you saying that 973 is the green hover image or color in the pic? If yes, is this the same as the blue hover in original aero.msstyles?
That's the one. But as far as I could witness, it only applies for some apps. Didn't see it changed in explorer. As a sidenote : 672 & 673 are the grip/handle for when toolbar/taskbar/menus are unlocked
Thanks, good info in this thread you have here. Can we ask for help/info/thoughts on other UI elements other than the ones you have listed on the first page?
ALWAYS ! Allthough sometimes I have little time on my hands, I will do the best I can to help. And in doing so, others will always join in to find solutions. Nothing better than teamwork But now -> nightynight for me. Obligations in the morning Gen
You need to check your transparent start menu file, it's boooogered up bad! The theme file shows this Code: Path=%SystemRoot%\resources\Themes\AaeroA\AaeroA.msstyles There is no folder "AaeroA" and there is no "AaeroA.msstyles". It took me a minute to figure out why it kept defaulting to 7 basic but the wrong path was the culprit. Anywho, it doesn't fix the All Programs Extended menu.
The paths need to be right for a custom style to work. You need to duplicate the default aero tree structure in the themes folder. I thought that was mentioned in the guide ? gonna check that... anywayz, I did mention it was a complete theme, and not everone would like it at all (Idon't either ) It was made with VSB. Still looking to trace the resources of the start menu back to restorator... Gen
