Yes i can just see MS blacklisting the ONLY dell ultimate oem SLP key every official dell ultimate machine would be affected I don't think so
urie if you look they sorta thought of that theyre checking how many times someone was genuine and not genuine so if you are on OEM SLP and there is a non genuine mark in the record they know something isnt right
How bios mod was deactivated?? Did a windows update cause the bios mod to deactivate? Which is better to use, remove Watt or a bios mod?

Hmmm ok, another question Does that WAT checks for SLIC and Serial (Dell slic, dell mobo and dell serial ?) when using a bios mod ? can you use a Dell slic, Dell mobo and Asus key (sample). Will this deactivate your windows 7 ?
I don't think it checks either. MSI laptop came with slic already, resusing cert that came with computer and using ASUS ultimate key. Several days and still genuine. Don't think key matters at this point in time.
I agree Dell SLIC, Dell Cert, ASUS key on ASUS mobo - all OK. Was even able to uninstall the update. Perhaps as time goes by this update may become more aggressive BUT I really think it will take aim at the "pre-activated " DVDs which are being sold and at the workarounds that mess with system files - Microsoft hate that !
Have been reading some of the reports over @ social.microsoft.com How stupid can one be to post MGAdiag result using a loader or poor bios mod and blocked VLK keys? Damn, if you decide to mod a bios to include a DELL slic at least take the time to update the SMBIOS DMI strings accordingly, Ever seen a dell that read NVIDIA in PC Manufacturer DMI field? Or a PC thats branded LENOVO all over it, to have a DELL slic?
