    sorry to revive an old thread. i figured this would be better than creating a duplicate. so does anybody know what's going on with this particular key? my system crashed and restarted. when windows loaded again i had a message in the bottom right corner saying my OS isn't genuine.

    i went to there validation site and re-validated. it shows it being legit now. was this just a bug pertaining to my crash or is MS targeting the dell key in their updates?

    i'm running a dell xps 400 that came with windows mce 2005. i updated the bios maybe a year ago for win7, so it should check out.

    There is absolutly nothing wrong with the dell keys any of them, probably just pertaining to your crash could have corrupter files.
