I just had to create an account on here to comment on a couple of things... first - thanks a ton to the creator of this, and for releasing it to the community! second - for those of you having problems with this: if you used orbit7 or any other activator, you will probably need to re-install windows 7 for it to work properly, since most activators modify certain files needed by this program for it to work. I had initially used orbit 1.8 to activate windows, but as many know it doesnt truly activate it. When i tried to use the ultimate loader, it seemed like it was working right, but never would until I re-installed (doing an upgrade works just fine from a current version of windows 7 fyi). good luck, and thanks again!
Works perfect for my main pc and laptop. Only problem is I had to reinstall windows first because I used the Orbit crack first and it prevents windows from registering properly. So I did an upgrade over my install and then ran the loader, everythings genuine and no time outs! Windows7 Ultimate x64 on both machines.
Windows 7 Partition not "System" partition Could the reason that my computer keeps attempting to load the files onto the "D" drive be because it is my system partition? Do I need to change that to get this to load onto the right drive? And if so, how would you reccomend I do that? I know I am close to having it working, but loading onto the D drive (my vista partition) isn't doing the trick. Please help!
Thx Hazar! The Loader works fine on a dell studio 1537 with newest bios! it's like a charm many thanks!
You'd need a Vista key to match the Certificate to do this and I'm also reasonably certain the Vista HP Cert is different. This obviously de-activated my Vista install which relies on a modded BIOS but no biggie - I'll simply re-install Vista to a different disk and keep the loader away from it. Actually all I had to do was to install the HP Vista Cert in Vista and it shows as activated as HP use the same generic Vista ultimate key as ASUS and many others so no problems.
Just to update the xps 420 issue here... I have now have also tried: Clean install with an without the System Reserved partition and also with and without using the RAID controller (so with normal SATA mode and with the Intel RAID storage manager) Ohh... I get a slightly different message when testing with the System Reserved partition, but still fails Code: Welcome to Hazar's 7 activator beta 2 (no fancy GUI yet) Please note this works for Windows 7 ULTIMATE only. Press any key to begin. The requested service has already been started. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182. Assigning Volume 1 To Z: Could Not Find Z:\grldr.bak 1 file(s) copied. If anyone know what's going on here, please let us know...... we are two here that have tried with a XPS 420 with no avail...
What? slic or non slic? you need a slic to activate just his probably has some OEM info selector IF YOU PREFER IT USE IT this thread is about my loader
Access Denied I know - you're tired of hearing from me - just looking for a solution. Now on my pc when i run the activator it: - Attempts to load the files on drives C, D, and F. (All separate partitions of the same hdd). C (Win 7 partition), D (Vista), F (Restore Image) - C shows access denied. I think that is the one that I need it to work on - Windows 7 - still not activated. Any tips from the dual booters out there? Or from anyone for that matter. Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi, you may have a system with an incomplete slic that clashes with the loader, with dell's being notorious for this. You can try WoW7 (remaps tables which is mhy its the best choice for a rare case, mine overwritres the whole table using grub4dos's acpi functoin, which is usually better) or best of all mod your bios, talk to Yen or Rosco about that
usually when it says access denied it has still worked its just cos your booted into windows 7 and using the bootcode
Help please!! God I'm sorry for being a pain in the ass...but I reinstalled 3 more times.. I used Hazar's and orbit 7 loader release 3 (both non SLIC methods) and I still don't get why it isn't working..I did turn off UAC, ran under administrator, the works.. Every time I install it I get the first part of activation which shows the key, but then I get the error of: There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \decive \harddisk1\DR1 --- which states cancel, retry, ignore.... It'll change the "harddisk1\DR1" to "harddisk2\DR2" until it reaches 4 or 5..then it says to reboot... After rebooting, it won't load windows 7, it'll be a black screen that just says "intel...." The screen appears after the Dell logo (where you can hit F2 or F12). The only way I can get something done is to reinstall windows 7...I tried all the methods I know and I still can't get why it doesn't work. I have an Dell XPS 420 with SLIC 2.0... If anybody can help, I would appreciate sooooo much! Other XPS 420 owners are having the same issue apparently... I want to run windows 7 so badly Thanks for your time!!!
This might sound silly but when its (the crack) running make sure there is no cd or floppy in the pc, and also it may be down to dell having a weird bios that does weird things
Got mine to activate but now every startup it reboots 3 times before I see the starting up windows screen...
