thanks hazar! Guys, I want to try this, but I don't know if I should try this before changing the language with the language dvd released earlier, or should I try it after changing the language, can someone clarify please?. Btw, I'm using a x64 system. PD:Anyone tried this loader on a pavilion 6950 notebook? Thanks in advance! And thanks hazar for the great support and time!
Completely by yourself, eh? Then why is the loader *identical* to the thing called "Vista loader 2.1.2", except that a couple of strings have been changed from "Vista" to "GRLDR"? Unless you're the original author of "Vista loader", you didn't write it yourself.
Does this loader has any specific OEM information (aka the stuff written in Status paragraph at System Information)? ex. HP or Dell?
get a clue what you are talking about.... learn what GRUB / GRLDR is before making yourself look silly.
It works on the same basis as Vista loader. Do some research first like sauronxxx said. What do you think the vista loader devs did? they downloaded grub4dos and made a few changes. What do you think I did? downloaded grub4dos and made a few changes, therefore the only differences are the same. and yes It was built out of a previous vista loader I had made from grub4dos hence the 2.1.2
I know what GRUB for DOS is, but the code to modify the ACPI tables is NOT part of GRUB. That part was written by somebody else.
First of all ... thank you! ... no timebomb anymore ... ... activation sucessfully ... i´m running an little older Samsung X60 Notebook and it works fu**ing perfect. Windowsupdate and "Genuie Windows Downloads" are working. thank you again!
Rigth. ACPI tables don't have anything to do with operating system versions. The operating system reads the tables to gain information about the hardware it's running on. The OS can't possibly tell the difference between an ACPI table that has been modified by whatever ran before it, or an ACPI table that has been placed in memory by the BIOS. In other words, anything that worked for Vista will work for 7.
Yea I got it working. Took the tokens.dat and pkeyconfig from install.wim and replaced them and activated fine after, cheers
