Double click the downloaded file, press a key and wait. Oh sry, I forgot a critical step - unpack the downloaded file, double click the executable, hit a key (on your keyboard) and wait .
Look in the grldr file, it has menu.lst integrated. look for the entry for vista (Its built off a vista crack I made, I just changed slic) It has these paramaters: Fallback 1 (rolls back to ntldr incase installed on non bootmgr compatible partition.) acpi (The magic part. A function to load acpi tables into memory) find -set --root bootmgr (finds bootmgr aka 7 partition) chainloader /bootmgr (resumes windows booting process after acpi patching done) Ok?
Would this style of loader work if i put it in SOURCES\$OEM$\$$\SETUP\SCRIPTS\ changing the Install.cmd to SetupComplete.cmd ?
Sorry Hazar I said on page 54 it didn't support x64 when it did. I just read where you said a file was causing a problem and was removed, the patch became half the size and there was no x64 folder there like the last one so I assumed it just didn't do x64 - sorry. I wasn't trying to "spread false information" as one person put it. The new one has just 2 lines removed from the last one I got: echo Assigning Volume %1 To %FREEDRIVELETTER%: and set FREEDRIVELETTER= The last one with these lines did work, I only tested on x86 but yes in VMware and on my real system it activates on both. Thanks man, really cannot thank you enough... along with the entire population of China and 50% of the population of all the other developed countries.
you really should put a small FAQ on the frontpage of this thread. the noobs will not stop asking the same over and over.
Another quick question if I may? Right now my system has WIndows 7 RC dual-booted with a Linux distro. Can I just install RTM over my RC version? Also, will this crack affect my ability to dual boot? Thanks for the great work on this crack, just want to make sure things will work before I commit to hours worth of fixing lol
Not completley, it would need to be adapted somewhat. Just remove the lines that say stuff (echo) and remove the pause and it should be fine yes. ALTHOUGH I would do it like this Alter the install.cmd then rar it up with all the other files into a rar SFX (executable) then just set the SFX to auto run Install.cmd and call the sfx from setupcomplete.cmd Windows is very picky about that file It has to be the absolute path to the file everytime so letting the program run itself in a speerate SFX would make life easier
Does this lo*der has any specific OEM information that shows in the System Panel? For Ex. DELL or HP logos and support information?
I guess MS's need to support easy "upgrade" paths to the Beta testers helps out on this one. Also, from your description on how this little app works I didn't think it would affect it but you never know. Thanks for being so quick to respond and help people out with this.
its trust? Heuristic.BehavesLike.Win32.Dropper.H only work for ultimate edition? doesnt work for home basic and home premium?
Where do i have to put the extracted files? I extracted to my Downloads folder, and run as admin the Install.cmd , but it doesn't work. I don't have the system reserved partion.
