    Bulls**t.

I might as well claim to have a round of golf booked with Elvis on the moon.

They might as well claim "the bogey man is going to get you".

Protect profits of billions of dollars per year, he means.

OK; is it necessary to remove the Vista lo*der manually before installing Windows 7 or is it automatically removed? THX

I just deleted the "grldr" file located at C: and entered the command "slmgr -upk" in a command line with administration rights. But be warned - this will uninstall the current product key and Win 7 will NOT enter trial mode again.

Earlier posts about issues with truecrypt devices are correct. I have lost my HD which was a TC partition. TC files are fine, obviously.

Please stop panicking. There are much cleverer people this side than have ever worked for Micro$oft. Of course they want to protect their profits, it's their duty to their shareholders. Security? Pah!

Hazar, like me a proud Englishman, understands that it is in Micro$ofts' interest to "leak" stuff so people use it. Zip, Winamp, ring any bells? You can't beat them so let's enjoy our tiny % of the market for free. Micro$oft actually want us to do this. Surely we have worked that one out?

So; has anybody got a Foxconn (773f1)P12 Bios fixed for 2.1?

I've noticed that my sign in cookies for all sites are disapearing overnight so I end up having to sign in again which sucks. This was not a problem before the lo*der hack. Anyone else notice this? Could have also been CC cleaner now that I think about it. I'll know for sure tomorrow morning. How long before Msoft figures out a way to snuff these installs LOL.

    Windows Update

Is it safe to run Windows updates (when available) after activating Windows 7 with this loader?

Will Microsoft create a patch sometime in the future that is delivered thru the Windows Update feature and so, disable your Windows 7 operating system?

Something to think about... What say you? Any advise?

    Thanks!

There is safety in a multitude of counsel. :)

    Help Please

Hey guys, i need some help here, after running this lo*der on a vm machine to test if the lo*der worked which it did, i decided to reformat and instal widows 7 as the host o.s however i encountered problems and it seems like my western digital drive is all messed up.

I am able to detect the hd through the bios, i was also able to load it up as a slave drive and reformatted it.

I am also able to go through the whole process of installing winxp sp3/windows 7 ultimate on it, however when it finishes installing i get random errors like

    "Disk Read Error Occured"
    "Error Loading Operating system"
Also "Press any key to load from cd....Error loading Operating system"

when i installed the winxp os and it still gave me those errors, i was able to load into the recovery system and i tried the Fixboot, Fixmbr, chkdsk /p /r
commands, after completing those i am still getting these errors, i can also get into bios mode with xp installed

When i installed windows 7, it just locks up at the Asus loading screen and i am unable to boot into bios mode or get the chance to go into a repair option.

Can someone please explain in detail on how i can recover/fix this hd? i don't need the data on it as i had it backed up prior to reformatting, i just need to get this hd working again. Also does WD have some kind of a program to restore this hd back to it's original state?

You should probably google for Dban which will reXO your HDD and fix it.

this still doesnt work for me. Dell XPS210 Desktop Bios 2.4.0 DXC061, UAC turned off, SLIC 2.0, clean install, no previous cr**ks used, diskmgmt.msc shoes only one partition, the C drive, the lo*der restarts, there is an OEM key, it says the key is not valid and i have 30 days left.

Ive tried a clean install over 3 times, ran as administrator, did everything suggested. I even tried 7loade rorbit one, and still nothing. this is frustrating.

my opinion is that i always turn off windows automatic updates cause sometimes you get updates that you dont need or doesnt work.theres a driver there for my wireless adapter and everytime i try to install it,it messes up.(so if i had auto on,it would continue to download.try to install and mess up)i run it manually and select the updates and anything i dont recognize or unsure of,i dont install.i just installed all the updates posted on the front of this forum and everything seems okay plus system seems a little faster.have a good one.

I upgraded from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 RTM and this loader worked perfectly. Vista Ultimate must have at least Service Pack 1 in order to be able to upgrade to Windows 7 and keep your current programs, otherwise, you'll need to do a clean install. Hope this helps.

It will rewrite all x and o's and make it useable again. No it won't destroy it LOL, what would be the point to that? The data will be gone but it should restore the drive to useable state.
