    Try imgburn instead.

    disk would be totally useles it will not be bootable. I have not downloaded from this thread but liinks do say en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_618240.iso and they also come from MSDN in iso format are you sure you are not extracting the iso by accident with winrar.

    yes i get that "en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_618240.iso" but as a winrar archive file.

    so you say i don't need to extract its content? i should just burn that archived .iso?

    Yes just open the iso file with nero and burn it or use Active@ ISO Burner 2.1 (Freeware) i posted link to earlier on. You have winrar set to extract iso file you can disable that in winrar settings if needed.

    i thought i have to extract files from the archive, my fault.

    Hi

    Are these pre-activated/no key to enter, or is the loader still required...?

    Also will 2 separate discs be needed for x84 and x64...?

    And today I see in the available updates for Windows 7 that I can install Service Pack 1 as well.

    Sure its from this thread?

    This is 7 SP1 ISO's from MSDN.. Make sure the SHA-1 and CRC32 values are correct

    Yes they are, the one from the first topic post: WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE WITH SERVICE PACK 1 ENGLISH,GERMAN,FRENCH,SPANISH X86 & X64 DOWNLOAD

    When I look at the Computer properties is says that it already has SP1.

    Good then it is SP1 and KB971033 isnt included in the SP1 build 7601, but why it wants to download SP1 when you already have it is a mistery
