Use daz loader to uninstall your loader or uninstall it through section 6-H in repository with those cmd line instructions. Then use daz loader to activate again then go online and validate then if pass you can uninstall WAT update. Sometimes people have to rearm but I forget in which order they do or regarding what circumstances. I'd reboot after uninstall or after rearm.

i am a service tech and own a pc shop just fyi to people and i have now seen and con confirm ms is having a issue with LEGIT OEM hp's. maybe not all but some. i have now seen more than a dozen systems total BRAND NEW OUT OF BOX with win7 directly installed from hp already on them and they DO NOT pass validation.. so if you have a hp it may not be something you directly did fyi

also 7loader from what i can tell does not work anymore use daz if you must use a loader

I had found the WAT option on here after I posted. Ran that and now i'm valid again. I'm still going to look into the options you mention as I have 2 more PC's that may get hit.

That is really good news if correct - HP will not let their computers be branded fraudulent and they (and other OEMs) will exert pressure on M$ to tone down this antipiracy stuff amd M$ will listen to them.

I have seen a gateway come out of the box, brand new and sealed with a virus on it. Not really related but you see some wierd crap as a pc tech.

Not posting bulls**t. I am telling you my laptop went into the Activate Now state. I tried using the same HP key on the screens where it says to fix it but it kept on coming back with errors and still stayed inactivated. I then used another key posted by a member claiming it works. Then the fix the problem screens validated my install. I have been running the HP key for months. Not trying to start up a ruckus just posting what I went through.

MS is employing idiots for WGA/WAT and licensing. For HP I am not surprised at all.

If that is the case why are you running an OS made by idiots :)

Why? Search for Dissociative Identity Disorder. :D Earned that in Afghanistan.
Idiots who are responsible for licensing are not even good at English language, and WAT/WGA idiots are fluent in English, at least.

I am using Gigabyte SLIC 2.1 with HP-OEM SLP key and no issue found.

I have also use my old pentium 4 HT (Pavilion T348D) with HPQ-MPC-SLIC 2.1, HP SLIC 2.1 cert and HPQ-OEM-SLP.

Both system are running well without much problem.

    32bits:
I have also notice that after 1 of the update, it scan for activation hack like what M$ done for vista, scan all registry keys. Pass WAT validation.

    64bits:
No problem found since Aug 2009 till now. Activation is still working after WAT installed.

    Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H
    BIOS F6
    SLIC2.1 GBTUACPI 2.1
    0+1

    HP-ASUS P4SD-LA Yale
    BIOS 3.28
    SLIC 2.1 HPQ-MPC
    SSV3

Both are running Windows 7 Ultimate. Clean MSDN disc.
