If you mean you installed the RTM build and applied the updates yeah you can keep the updates on there if you want, so far there is no issues in regards to the updates and win7 activation.
Is it possible to have a complete lists of the updates on the first page, because it's a kind confusing what is containing what. Thanks
i installed win7 rtm and activated with 2.1 slic but i cant see these updates in windows update can i install them via windows update??
Look at your message, you already gaved the answer ''i cant see these updates in windows update'' ''can i install them via windows update'' The answer is no
Ok, so possibly no official updates until October and such. A lot of things can happen before then, security wise and important updates. So we could basically be pretty vulnerable until then?
the first post is nuts... can you please date them like others have asked make life a little easier for us all....
Would you like MS to supports users who have installed Win7 from leaked ISO? Only on October the OS will be available for the mass. Anyway we don't know of severe vulnerabilities... and the basic firewall inside 7 could simply be enough now.
MSDN users are a small number of units and they are not enough to force MS to release updates (maybe if MS found a severe bug or security issue they might consider to public a security bulletin and release the update). The real numbers are made by retail and (mainly) OEM and both will buy/release the OS/PC on October
Decided finally give these a shot and I'm really pleased. Before updates I had lots of connection problems (FF going to offline mode every few page loads and MP games/Vent losing connection and so on). After the updates no issues so far. So I think either the old tcp/ip or kernel was quite bugged with some hardware I had. By kernel I mean everything that KB675605 updates: "A GDR update that upgrades Windows 7 OS Kernel, HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer)"
Personally i think some of those updates are dummy ones(testing purposes). But i noticed it ran smoother after updates, well at least i think so.
Maybe these updates are a trap... anyone caught with these during internet update will be identified and dealt with accordingly... you never know.....
