Hey MDLF I hope someone here can help me with a problem i'm having with windows 8.1.1 When i'm using Firefox or Chrome and visiting for example apps(dot)microsoft(dot)com/windows/en-us/app/kindle/1d7e4396-0143-4aed-8892-84eb75e799f3 My Metro store automatic open and I feel that this action is just wrong. Is there anyone with the knowledge to disable this Metro Microsoft Store from monitor my URL's and auto opening it in Metro Thanks
I also think this sort of thing shouldn't be enabled by default so I had a poke around. Never even thought of browsing the store before. What's it for anyway? This is probably already common knowledge, but: For Firefox, in the address bar type: In the search box type It will show two config options: Code: network.protocol-handler.external.ms-windows-store;true network.protocol-handler.warn-external.ms-windows-store;false If you toggle the second one to 'true' you'll get the "Launch Application" dialog with TWINUI as the selected external app. Anyway if you toggle the first one to 'false', well it's pretty self-explanatory.
Thanks a million jabbawok! Your answer worked! Now I can safely make a new True Image of my Windows 8.1.1
