i dont know if its a bug or driver issue but on my laptop after i get done typing the mouse wont move for a few seconds
A lot of these "so called" bugs sound like user errors to me. I'm sure 8.1 does have some issues like Yen pointed out in another post, but you are going to find some driver incompatibility and issues of that nature until this is "officially released" and maybe even for awhile after it is released.
Agreed. I think a lot of people had custom bloatware drivers that have built-in programs attached to drivers and they upgrade. Then they get confused why the system is behaving erratically. 8.1 is NOT 8.0 people! Remove the bloatware drivers before upgrading.
It could be any number of things, hardware issues, driver issues and on and on and on Did you do a clean install?.........On another note: I'm having typing issues in this forum with keyboard sticking and characters not being typed...Maybe that's a user error also....seems to type fine if I slow down......
windows live mail,IE working fine here, though cant sign into mesenger but think that may because im using local account?i dont use skype, but ill try it and post back.just installed and running fine far as i can tell.im using activated 64 bit edition.
installing tune up utilities was still a hassle, though it may be also cause im not using the latest one.had to right click on the installer and select compatability mode to get it installing.once it did,it stalls at a certain point.so i wait a few minutes then when i try to close the installer, its frozen.so have to run the task manager to close it.once its closed and i try to run it,i get a message saying its running in compatability mode and if i want to continue.i click yes,and it runs, however everytime i select an option to use in it,i get that message again.annoying but it works.somebody using a newer one might not have this issue but i like using this one better than the new ones.
Here E 11 has few bus due to compatibility mode and here on MDL page saw some funny colors and wrong write what I tyoin,That's all...until now
Prob not an issue with 8.1 but i did not have this on a clean install of xp, 7, 8. When i connect my projector it will only give 1024x768 as minimum resolution. (kind of sucks because i normally run it lower for for movies and stuff it makes text more clear it's one of those pico small projectors ) I think this has something to do with the modern ui now supporting 1024x768 it must lock resolutions at that as a minimum or something. Can't find a way to disable this but not really looked.
brightness stuck at full with stock M$ driver or with AMD preview driver on my Acer 5740g thanks to amd and there crappy driver ( i had same problem on w8 with newer amd drivers so i went to 13.1 to get it work again )
Keybioard Issues Is the keyboard wired or wireless? USB or PS/2? There ARE buffering-related issues with USB and wireless keyboards that are exacerbated when the keyboard is both (my Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000 v3 is affected in all versions of Windows, regardless of driver used) - however, the issue is worse with the default USB drivers. Updating to the latest Intel USB INFs does reduce the woes (as does updating drivers for USB devices). The same issues apply to other USB hardware (mice, printers, etc.).
i think non of them gonna fix it since AMD broke the brightness control since 13.2 beta i think -.- even the latest beta (13.8 b2 ) still broken so stock M$ driver broken Preview driver broken 13.8 beta broken on W8 too i will try the leaked one tomorrow cuz i went back to W8 cuz i had the issue with Net framework 3.0 ( i found the solution in 1st page ) + the brightness issue
