Windows 8.1 Activation with Windows 8 FREE WMC key?

    will this code work if i already got 8.1 wmc installed and activated by mtk? i installed the w8.1 pro wmc from esd repository.

    i think my only option is to phone activate my key (official wmc key activated on time) that was fully activated before i changed mobo (old vc fried pci express slot) as s1ave77 stated. I reckon the original activated wmc key won't work after simply applying the kms method, guess s1ave checked this?

    Yep, phone activation is needed here. As long as the key is activated on only one machine at a time there shouldn't appear problems. So far my keys are still working on my Desktop and Notebook, every system running with it's own key.

    If you already have your WMC activation tokens backed up with your free WMC upgrade key then you can do the following from batch

    1. Copy over your cache.dat, data.dat and tokens.dat First..
    2. Install your WMC key with: cscript //nologo "%Windir%\System32\slmgr.vbs" /ipk %PK%
    3. Now activate with: cscript.exe /nologo %WINDIR%\System32\slmgr.vbs /ato

    I do this all the time without having to do all the rig-a-mo-row call in crap. and works from a batch script that I use..
