Correct me if I'm wrong please. I want to have a clean installation Windows 8.1 Professional without entering product key as installing. I create a file EI.CFG as below and put it in sources folder and then burn. [EditionID] Professional [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 thanks for your advice
@BTOR Where can I find this WIM file and where should it be copied? Can you describe it in more detail please?
I didn't swap files etc. I just had installed Windows-8-Pro-WMC-x64 as a "Clean Install" a few days prior, with my Homemade-ISO, which had the Activation-Backup integrated. Then I started the Setup of the Windows-8.1-RTM-x64 from my desktop and installed the upgrade by using the Pro-Key of Windows-8.1. After I reached the Desktop, when the Setup was finished, I activated Windows-8.1-Pro with my Legit Windows-8-Pro Key and added the WMC-Pack with my legit Windows-8-WMC Key and was straight activated. I bought all together 3 Windows-8-Pro Key's back in 2012, 2x Upgrade-Key's for 15 Bucks and 1x Full-Key for 70 Bucks plus 3x Free WMC-Key's. The Computer I upgraded used the Homemade-ISO which is based on the cheap Upgrade-Key's. Now I wait that we are able to backup the activation again, that I can create a Homemade-Windows-8.1-Pro-WMC-x64-ISO with the activation already integraded.
EI.CFG in AIO disc sources Folder, ONLY works from desktop using Setup.exe in sources, But you do not get the upgrade page.
OK, well I'm glad I was wrong; strangely. On a positive note, back up that spp folder asap in case you have some sort of catastrophic failure
Doesn't matter, as long as your tokens folder has that 2.0 folder with hidden data.dat and tokens.dat inside. Those are your activation files.
I downloaded via the magnet's and checked the md5. I'm out at the moment, but will have another look later. I want to double-check, that the "show hidden files and folders" and "show hidden system files" is proper working. I just checked on a Windows-7-PC and even it has the manifest-folder beside the tokens-folder. Could it be, that the things are stored different in Windows 8.1, if you used an Windows-8-ISO with the integrated Activation-Backup ? I will post later, what's in my Folders. Should I double-check something via command-line ?
try to run Windows File Checker utility (SFC) , If you do not find the other folders, and the other folders are not hidden. also in admin command prompt run the below command And look at the report.txt file on your desktop Code: Licensingdiag.exe -report %userprofile%\desktop\report.txt -log %userprofile%\desktop\repfiles.cab
Ok, it looks like that Total Commander Ultima Prime v5.7 doesn't show the hidden files and folders anymore. @BTOR: I sent you the report via PM.
