Looking at other photos of your case, it looks like they mount the motherboard on the opposite wall of the case, which would turn the board the correct way around and have your CPU at the top of the case

Is it possible to mount on both sides of the case on that build ?

If I had the option to run this rig 24/7 I would but unfortunately the case is that utilities need to be paid for.

Case fans are put on the side of the case or in open ventilation area's where they can be mounted. I feel you can connect the dots of what I'm thinking ;)

That water cooler is unfortunately not available stateside (a moment to mourn lol). If your pushing those speeds with a water rig I still think its a case of ventilation. Can you post a picture of the rig and insides of it?

@ Cooling gel its easier to get arctic silver in the US and i grew up on it anyway lol.

Should I do as in the photo above and keep one side open (the cooler side and not the hard disk side on CM690 advanced USB3) and see what it does. Maybe it will work or at least make some difference. Anyway temps in Delhi are going down to around 35C max these days and soon we will reach down to the high 20s (late Oct), and then to 20C in Dec, and 10-15C in Jan.

Only if you have a gigantic fan blowing into the gaping hole.
You don't have to overclock. You can simply run a computer at stock settings.
Some things generate less heat than others...
I personally only overclock my ddr3 ram.
Ram doesn't put out the same kind of heat that overclocking the rest of your system does...

It depends on if you have heaps of dust etc. around. I would not keep it open anymore, as you just get too much dust / hair's etc. into it, which is not so easy to clean off the heat-sink etc.

    :)

Yes I do not overclock beyond 5-10% as a matter of fact which would be ridiculously low and not the worth the bother. I have Gskill DDR1866 in a 1600MHz system and that is run at 1866 through XMP.

The point is that these high temps are there even on a 0-5% OC. That is the problem. Simple solution for me is to OC 0-5% in summers, and 5-10% in the winters.

    TONSCHUH: Thanks.

If you don't need the full speed in summer, then you could still down-clock as well.

    :)

PS: I'm now off for some Blacklight: Retribution ...

    The pictures look nice.

Nice setup from what I can see everything looks in order. I wish I could keep it running as I could remote control it to run virtual machine testing of Windows 8.1 while I'm on campus and such.

Well man when the mounting screws are in that pattern... There is not much you can do man.

The gigabyte 990fxa ud7 is a good board however the pcie x16 are a bit cramped with the lone PCI port on it.

Hmmm at this point I could probably do with a Bios update at this point lol.

Yea i'c i understand maybe just need more fans and a better cooler but doesn't help when it's 10:13AM and outside weather is 32C / 89F but just looking at the temps down it's back down to 35c / 40c..

Hi, try Windows Performance Toolkit (WPT) to analyze what's the culprit of laggy performance.

The rule regarding windows fixing or optimizing anything are still in effect. If you want proper optimization software use third party software. In general never let windows fix anything or optimize anything lol.
