    I see

    yes, after looking into it, KB2976627 contains updated inetres.adml (lang resource for inetres.admx) whereas KB3003057 doesn't

    so until they update/include it in next cumulative, KB2976627 is still required for Windows 8.1 (just like it's still required for IE11 in Win7 despite ms marking it as superseded)

    I see KB2959977 superseded but not KB2934018. So after I install Windows 8.1 Update clean install, I need to install only KB2934018 but not KB2959977 after it ?

    Here is my list for 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) updates to be integrated for Windows 8.1 Pro with Update (as of 2014, November 25), starting with the April 2014 iso (en-US).

    KB2959977 does not need to be integrated for x86, but does need to be integrated for x64. After a clean install, DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /STARTCOMPONENT CLEANUP can be run and no updates are removed; and Windows Update does not list any updates. If the /RESETBASE option is added, only KB2939471 is removed, which is replaced by KB2934018.

    Read the Notes: section for explanations of why some updates are needed. Also, note that integration order is important.

    Thanks to abbodi1406 for all the information provided in this and other threads.

    Code:

    5(x86)/6(x64) updates that are integrated in the order listed:

    Notes:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Update 14-04: April 2014 Windows 8.1 Update (KB2919355); revised
                  with prerequisite updates KB2989647 (2014/09/09) and
                  KB2920189 (2014/11/11) replacing KB2975061.  Also,
                  with KB2959977-x64 replaced by KB3008188 (2014/11/11)
                  and with KB2959977-x86 not needing to be integrated.
    Update 14-11: November 2014 Cumulative Update Rollup (KB3000850);
                  without the important update KB3003057, which is the
                  Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11.
    {a} Supersedes KB2975061, KB2969339, and KB2919442.
    {b} Re-released 2014/11/11 to bundle KB2975061.  However, KB2975061
        is superseded by KB2989647, and does not need to be integrated.
    {c} Replaced/superseded but is integrated to satisfy Windows Update.
    {d} Feature Pack is not listed with the Installed Updates. Use
        administrator command: dism /online /Get-Packages /Format:Table
        to verify Feature Pack install status and date.
    {e} Indicated by Microsoft as replaced by KB3003057; however this
        update is also needed because it contains the inetres.admx file
        needed to prevent an error when GPEDIT.MSC is run.
    {f} Cannot be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center,
        but can be downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
    {g} Was listed in the Microsoft Support Article ID 2984006, but
        cannot be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center or

    {n} Bundled with the June 2014 update rollup (KB2962409) when
        downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog. KB2980654
        is not bundled with the June 2014 update rollup (KB2962409)

    {q} Supersedes KB2994897 that is bundled with the September 2014
        update rollup (KB2984006).
    {r} The .msu file contains a .exe file in addition to a .cab file;
        and the .exe file must be installed before the .cab file. So,
        KB2990967 cannot be properly integrated into an offline image.

    Actually, even though KB2989647 will be the active servicing stack, but the system will need one of KB2975061 and KB2919442 (or KB2969339) to be installed
    or else dism will throw error (not necessary visible, but in cbs.log) every time an online servicing operation run
    and the Windows Foundation package will wrongfully identified as version 6.3.9600.17031 (the correct version 6.3.9600.16384)

    of course, this is due the fact that KB2989647 require KB2919355 as prerequisite

    ===

    KB2995004 is Bundled with both KB2975719 and KB2984006
    if it's not installed, it will show in WU under both rollups :D

    You can get a list of superseded updates by analyzing the component store:
    Code:
    @echo off
    title Analyze WinSxS Store
    net stop trustedinstaller >nul 2>&1
    net stop wuauserv >nul 2>&1
    DEL /F /Q %systemroot%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >nul 2>&1
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore
    findstr /c:"deeply superseded" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\superseded.txt"

    Should the change log be revised for 2014/11/12 under Superseded to remove the line "2976627 (by 3003057)"?
    Also, under Superseded, is "2976978-v3 (by 2976978-v4)" missing? 2976978-v4 was added but 2976978-v3 is not listed as superseded.

    Revised now

    as for 2976978, new version is enough to know it supersede the previous
    i guess that update will be updated monthly :)
