There's a note, from @abbodi1406 on how to deal with 8.1 updates. Read it before you download any update. That note is a txt file you can download via WHD.

It seems that AMD ditches Win8.1 support in their drivers due to the low usage. Confirmed?

It is quite annoying, that now the tray icon closes with closing the WD window.
Is there any setting to change it?

The new Preview Rollup KB4039871 only affects Server 2012 R2 OS and RSAT users
nothing changed for Windows 8.1 clients

Interesting... this new update comes with the latest Insider build look for Internet Explorer 11...

On the other hand, it reseted my Favourites on Explorer and added the default ones back in:

 

When shell32.dll is updated, it will always reset "This PC" entries to default, and "Recent" in Favourites
