If I install May 8, 2018—KB4103725 (Monthly Rollup) does that mean it includes all previous rollups for example since 2016?
when a new monthly rollup is installed, it supersedes the previous one and this in the purpose of fixing and correcting possible bugs and other things from previous Monthly Rollup.
Complete Rollup is cumulative and you need only the latest one. Security-only is not! You need every month's security-only package from the beginning (or from the time the last full cumulative was installed).
Thanks very much, I had conflicting suggestions so you clarified that only the security related patches need to be updated one by one. I'll check the included updates in my system so I'll "manually" download the correct ones, and no, I won't activate the auto-update and I don't like it.
Quick question cause I don't keep track of this and I don't care about telemetry or the like. Planning to install on a Kaby Lake basic PC system from scratch with this iso: en_windows_8.1_enterprise_with_update_x64_dvd_6054382.iso Now, which essential/mandatory updates, nothing else, do I need to install beforehand in order to patch with latest Monthly Rollup: windows8.1-kb4338815-x64_9d87e0119193e0d35d0f3a1952e0ce4e15ae6113.msu I don't want to integrate any update via audit/sysprep... Also I'm aware of wufuc...
Hi @abbodi1406 lol No integration here at all. I just want the mandatory or needed updates to install July 2018 Montly Rollup. Maybe I need some (not all) mandatory updates dated back from 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 as prerequisite. I'm going to install Windows 8.1 using this outdated iso: en_windows_8.1_enterprise_with_update_x64_dvd_6054382.iso
