The update KB2902892 screwed up my windows. After install and restart the non-unicode characters like Japanese and chinese became squares in apps like winamp and dota 2. Uninstall then restart and everything is back to normal. I'm using windows 8.1 pro x64 and never use Skype anyway. So I suggest you stay away from it if you were like me. If it's only my problem please tell me how to fix it. About setting non-unicode display into Japanese solve this problem but then windows update will install a whole bunch of new updates that make my PC slow down, I already experienced it in windows 7 and 8, so this is not the solution for me.
well how strange, today windows update is showing 4 updates that have already been installed, if i download it manually it tells me the update is ready installed.. Yes, McRip's server is offline. And it's been 3 weeks since he last responded to msgs, so I guess he has quit. I hope I'm wrong and that he does return soon though.
I am sad if McRipp is realy quit. He was a greate help. May be he comes back one time! Wish him good luck!
Maybe it was not applicable because of the Enterprise ver. (?) That update installed with no problems on my Win8.1 x64. Responded to PM

It's possible that corrections to KB2883200 are part of this update (with the remaining parts of KB2883200 still being valid).
