after installing this update 1 RTM yesterday show me only 9 updates on wind. updates not 13 its is ok ?
I also have no Office 2013 updates! Windows 8 installed. Even the Hotfix Downloader shows no updates for februari 2014, yet.
office and xp hotfixes 2825829office 2849970 2849975 2849977 2863913 2863917 2863918 2863921 2863924 2863927 2863929 2863930 2863931 2863933 2863934 2863935 2863936 2863937 2863938 2863939 2878228 2760301 2929729xp I think the office hotfixes are all for 2010, but did not check
I noticed no office 2013 updates in Feb 2014. In fact if I recall, office 2013 used to see blockbuster quantity and size updates each month. However, for maybe 2 out of 3 months, the updates have been slow in coming. There is also no leaked news/build of sp1 or even beta. It was due in early 2014.
Yeah I was saying that in the Windows 7 thread, it could be that a service pack is soon, who knows . I'll keep an eye out and update the lists when they are released.
The point is that there is a drum-beat and a process leading to a SP1. Beta, news, leaks, media reports, etc. However, nothing so far except a flurry of news in Nov 2013 which basically rehashed official MS annoucement. Off topic, but wish they could (a) improve the ribbon to improve upon the horrible interface that is difficult on the eye (b) add option to show all windows in the taskbar. Because of these, I still prefer office 2010.
Does anyone have a workaround for expanding win8.1 cab files on a win7 system. If i expand for example windows8.1-kb2919394-x86.cab on a win7 system, i got error 0x8007000d and not all files are expanded. Seams that MS change their cab file format in the Win8.1 updates. This is one reason you can not add a Win8.1 package to a Win8.1 image using the update.mum file on a Win7 system.
Try copying msdelta.dll from Windows 8.1 and give it a try, if it fails also try copying expand.exe along with msdelta.dll and give it a try again
expand.exe itself needs a lot of other dll to copy, i tried that with no luck; interesting: one of the dll is part of the servicing stack. but i will try the msdelta.dll (does not work) Thanks
I copied msdelta.dll and expand.exe, but then it asks for another one: Code: Failed to Load DLL, dpx.dll!DpxNewJobEx, hr=0x7f Expanding File d:\data\wu\z\windows8.1-kb2919442-x86.cab Incomplete, Error Code= 0x8007007e Error Description: The specified module could not be found. and after copying dpx.dll, another error: Code: expand.exe - System Error -The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-registry-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
same for me to get all dll's needed you can copy all dll's from the system32\downlevel then expand will run but the result is the same as with the expand version of win7
