Reinstalled Win 8.1 Preview, told Windows Update to not auto-download updates. Installed everything except AMD's WDDM 1.3 driver and Microsoft's mouse driver. Few minutes later, both drivers auto-install out of nowhere... ffs Can't stand auto-updates, but can't stand auto driver installs even more. Now I have to wonder if anything from that auto AMD install will linger onto the actual driver install...
Seems okay to me. I am downloading the MS preview copy now, have been using the leaked one from the torrent.
Is enough to check SHA that you have with MS provided one and if those are not the same then you download ISO from S.My opinion just....If I will try to download other fil,wil tke me all night with my Internet speed....
Someone should make a smart/delta patch for changing the torrented version to the version supplied by MS.
I checked installed Windows with resource protect and the system seems to be untouched;soon I'll check md5 and sha just to be sure. Can someone with bad intentions to put a virus in Windows root?I mean in ISO to automatically install a virus in the same time with Windows?
Is there a difference? I downloaded the WIn 8.1 Pro English preview yesterday from some Mega.co.nz link
The x64 version from Mega.co.nz is the same as the one offered by M$ I cannot confirm the same with x86 because I didn't download it yet...
What was so weird in my experience is that when i installed a fresh copy on a different partition. all great but out of the blue i get conduit highjacking the THE New IE
I know it’s a beta but will this monkey about with your original Windows8 activation licences and kick your upgrade copy down to a timed expired evaluation copy if you download the update from the windows store? I did notice that janky “evaluation copy” text on some of the screens I've seen today.
Nice to see all you nice people helping Microsoft fix their broken OS, apparently you have much time to waste or you like being used.
Im not seeing what your problem is..ive had 1 crash tonight and no probs with any apps not running, ATI drivers work..cant say much about Nvidia..as for multi screening im currently using 3 atm with everything working fine. Either you need a new pc or better install. btw this install is the 64 bit iso

Sometimes when i click on the start button nothing will happen or it will have a slight delay than go to the smart menu or back to desktop, i also notice that adding apps to the smart menu is kind of buggy, some apps don't show up even though i have added them.
