We know that. What we need is a registry setting or similar that can be integrated into Setup or setupcomplete.cmd.
Oh I am sorry all mighty know it all, this is why I don't like this site, you all have no manners and constantly b itch at each other, bunch of little kids and arrogant p ricks.
OK, I don't mind saying sorry for being unclear. Thanks for your suggestion anyway, Mr. Grim. But please scroll back 15 minutes for the solution to the reg setting (I edited my last post).
I come here because you guys have up to date news and are very informative, I just think allot of you can be very rude allot of the time which is annoying, doesn't mean I wont still come here though. @ Atari800XL No need for your apology, I should have read a few more posts I guess, I just thought I was being helpful but I guess not.
Mr GRiM, we're all friends again. Email/ forums can cause misunderstanding very quickly, I know that from experience. On some forums, every discussion ends up with calling eachother nazi's within a few pages And yes, your suggestion was helpful, eg. for people searching the forum for "BootToDesktop" etc.
MDL ...not for the Faint-Hearted! I appreciate were you coming from but in all fairness Carlos only pointed out what the discussion is/was about; ...no where rude in my book. Anyways, c;mon now this is MDL, not 'Class me up', manners socialgraces... ...btw, how about your own response? Just my 2cts. - Enough already, time to get back on topic.
I installed windows 8.1 for the 1st time.. and I can say it's not really a difficult UI.. one must get used to it..
I can't see any improvement in Windows 8.1,it's even worse than Windows 8.MS is only seeking more money..Shame.
totally agrees with bugs on search bar as well as search app......its slow as hell like 3-4 secs difference between typing and typed words shown on screen... with no suggestions. search app opens very late after entering keywords in search bar. MS really needs to improve the speed of search.
This one and also the following one is and will be still free. That said, it states that MS isn't ask you for your money (yet)! And, It's totally up to you to buy or not buy if the time comes you have to pay money for it!
you are right but we should also note that this is beta and i am providing my feedback to improve the rtm
But also note you're providing feedback to random people for the most part, and not Microsoft directly
Especially when threads literally explode, like these days. Additionally, a many of us do not speak English natively, that may sound rude although it isn't meant like that. Then we had members like vymrdal, THAT was genuinely rude . For that reason, most of these members are Ex-members. Forums don't get moods across very well, I guess.
I did a clean install of windows 8.1 64 bit no problems at all very nice beta release for me. I also did an upgrade from the windows store from and old pro backup image I had saved and the upgrade went just fine everything seems to be working fine for me.
Yes, this is a healthy thing; to provide feedback on what you experienced when trying the new product. So, it is OK that all people report the faults to be solved and improved and no harm to say the good things as well to give people a positive impression of what is going to be Happy testing time
its not an update, its a Preview and work in progress till the release date people act like its the final version get a grip its a BETA use at your own risk
