if you read above, you should have noticed that a MS account is necessary for preview. A local version only will be available on RTM
I'm thinking though, if you make an M$ account and install 8.1. Log off and log in with local account, delete M$ account. You still having 8.1? Maybe just wait and see and test.
the preview comes with its own key and you don't need to worry about activation but RTM might be different. We''ll find out pretty soon
Well upgrade should preserve whatever account type you currently have, but yes, the unattend is for ISO install.
I would also say, that a lot of folks will complain about this. I wouldn't be suprised if they removed the requierement for the RTM version.
Where is the Problem? We only have to disconnect from the Internet during the Setup (if we are using the ISO).
I suppose installing the preview via Windows Store using a legitimate activated Windows install won't place any watermark on the desktop, and the install from the ISO using the Preview own key will place a watermark. Is this right, FaiKee?
I also love testing Windows betas. I've been using Windows 8 since the Developer Preview in 2011... Let the party begin!
Nope, it's the same like any other pre-release, both will show the Windows 8.1 Preview - Eval Copy Build 94xx watermark.
