Is it? I did some very brief reading and it seems you need some Windows kit or something to deploy the .wim to bootable media or something like that. Haven't look into it, but if that's true, isn't that kit several GB on it's own too?
To be on safe side in that case, wait for GA of the RTM. Fresh install and upgrade to ProWMC should work with that key. Also when installing from ProWMC ISO. Upgrade install afaik won´t want to see any key. Let´s wait for people to download and play with it .
Oh, I know. I guess the purists out there want the official untouched ISOs when ultimately it doesn't make a difference as long as you have the install.wim.

The issue is you will be trying to upgrade Windows 8 Pro with WMC to just Windows 8.1 Pro. (this .wim when put into an ISO wont have media center) so it might say no you cant upgrade you need an 8.1 MCE disk. You could bypass this by Installing Windows 8 and activating it. Then upgrading to 8.1 (this .wim) and activate it once you have an activated 8.1 pro click add features and enter the WMC key and hope that it lets you download MCE 8.1 After this you can make a ProWMC 8.1 to take upgrade keys. But yeah I don't know if you can "upgrade" 8.1 Pro with WMC to just Windows 8.1 without it.
That's fine, patience is a virtue. Let's spell it out for all those whom don't understand. 1. The install.wim of the en-US 8.1 Pro x64 RTM leaked, no ISOs. You don't need the ISOs unless you're a purist that wants the untouched ISOs from Microsoft itself. In which case you'll probably wait awhile before those are leaked/released. 2. The install.wim is all we needed to install the RTM and/or create AIO install ISOs from, like murphy78 does. 3. Unless you know what you're doing with the install.wim, there's no reason to download it. Just wait for the AIO ISOs to appear at the usual places.
Ah, sounds pretty good then. Guess I'll do a bit of research into this while I'm downloading the image parts. Do I need anything more than an internet connection, the ADK, the wim, and boot media (flash drive)?
