How did this even happen? Did the leaker just randomly upload a .wim without ever testing it at all? Maybe it corrupted in the process of uploading? Do both parts from both mirror sites (the Chinese one and Mega) both report the same hashes and filesize?
It's not corrupted. If you get the chinese leak, replace the install.wim with this new one, and edit the EI.CFG and lang.ini files, it works. Source: I'm updating to 8.1 as we speak.
spoiler alert: It won't work! Me and several others tried it and confirmed, the wim is corrupt, there's nothing you can do! Confirmed working? Or corrupt? I'm 100% sure it's corrupt!
Anyone check PCBeta and see what they are saying???? That is where this file originated from correct?
We'll talk again, in a couple of minutes, when you come back, crying, because the installer threw an error
Try and extract the .WIM. Just extract it. If it does successfully it isn't corrupt and YOU are doing something wrong.
These are from mine, downloaded via MEGA (jDownloader reported, the files weren´t corrupted during download) Code: Datei: install.part1.rar CRC-32: ff756593 MD4: 4223d685c3ce840ed3d276cd4fba3c77 MD5: 20031b10deaddc6299030f3508e33602 SHA-1: 3e198c620c9f6c735a8ec40315d48ddd455ceb64 Datei: install.part2.rar CRC-32: 36137fd2 MD4: 76d88529fcfa2e095da38208d6b16d88 MD5: e307803c0096b56aa33363fec464c77a SHA-1: b9af2151fe8741b091ea0906f29d5a8982ef79c4
I made an ISO. It started installing, it restarted the PC and then it ended up rolling back to Windows 8. So either i made a mistake somewhere or it's a dud. The fact that my WDS server rejects it makes me think it's a dud.
